Bir Billing is located in the foothills of the Himalaya in the district Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. The take off site Billing is located at 2290 meters is a nice grassy dome is accessible by road. Billing offers unique opportunities for high altitude and cross country flying and flights of 180 kms have been achieved from here. The landing site Bir – Keori is a beautiful village surrounded by tea gardens, spectacular scenery on the edge of Tibetan Colony. The landing site is a quite clear and wide open ground with green grass and lots of fields around it with very few trees. The best timing for paragliding starts from March to June and October to mid December. July to August the site is remain closed due to heavy rainfall. From the mid of December, January till the February are valid for paragliding but flight remain low as the cool air temperature does not encourage the paraglider to fly high for longer duration.
