Kareri Lake is a freshwater lake rugged amidst mountains with greenery all around. It is best known for being a trekking destination in the Dhauladhar near Dharamshala district Kangra in Himachal Pradesh. Kareri Lake’s elevation of about 2950 meters above the sea level. Kareri Lake Trek will take you through a journey of the most scenic views as it is home to lush pasturelands, exotic perennial flowers, and dense conifers. Kareri trek is also a favourite among the shutterbugs and natures lovers who can spend some time close to the nature while clicking their best shots. The lake remains frozen from early December to mid April. There is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Shakti on a hilltop overlooking the lake

By road transfer from Dharamshala to Kareri Village, 2 hours drive. Kareri village is the starting point of the trek. By walk Kareri village to Riyoti village camp. It is 3 hours trek up to Riyoti village. Overnight stay in camp at Riyoti village
After breakfast start the trek from Riyoti village to Kareri Lake. It takes 4 hours trek. Lunch will be served in the camp at Kareri Lake. Kareri Lake is also the base camp for Minkani Pass trek and Lam Dal trek. Rest of the day to relax at Kareri Lake. Overnight stay at Lake
After early breakfast we start the trek on the same way to back Dharamshala. It is steep downhill exhausting trek for 4 hours to kareri village. Transfer from Kareri village to Dharamshala by road, 2 hours drive
